Inexchange on site at customer day in Berlin

CapeVision, which is a new partner of Inexchange in Germany, invited to a customer day in Berlin on Thursday.
Johan Lindblad and Sofia Eustrom, both partner account managers at Inexchange, were there to present their Swedish employer and the range of services the company offers the market.
"It was very rewarding. The customers who attended were open and asked us a lot of questions. We gained a lot of new insights," Johan and Sofia summarize.

The partnership with CapeVision, which like Inexchange has electronic invoicing as its main focus, was finalized almost a month ago. The partnership will enable CapeVision to enhance its SmartPath® platform with a new and improved PDF to XML conversion service. The interpretation service provided by Inexchange is superior to the German partner's old solution.
Inexchange, for its part, is aiming to enter the German market in earnest. Thanks to the agreement with CapeVision, the company is now represented on the ground.

The law creates expectations

Inexchange also has a delegation, in the form of Johan Lindblad and Sofia Eustrom, who are currently in the German capital Berlin. On Thursday, the duo gave an appreciated presentation at the customer day that CapeVision had invited them to. An internal meeting between the companies was then held on Friday. "The combination of CapeVision and Inexchange is incredibly exciting because it opens up so many new opportunities.
"Germany has an e-invoicing law in the works that is being introduced in stages. There is a lot of anticipation about what it will mean. There have been initiatives in this direction in the past, but the federal states were skeptical and parts of the market, such as the automotive industry, said no. The attempts that have been made have been very toothless," explains Johan Lindblad.
"But now it is hoped that this will be followed up properly and that it will not just be a formal decision by the authorities without the intended effect."

Good response

Thursday's customer day had around 30 participants. The Swedish guests were listened to carefully. In a country where 99% of all invoices are PDF images and not electronic, according to statistics cited by CapeVision CEO Marcus Jeschke, it is clear that e-invoicing needs to take off.
"We received a number of questions in connection with the presentation," says Sofia Eustrom. "People wanted to know how the services work, they asked for details about interpretation and so on. I think it was a good response."
It is clear that for many German companies this is uncharted territory. Even though Germany is Europe's largest market, digitalization is surprisingly poorly developed. Thursday's customer meeting in Berlin also reflected the fact that major developments are needed in the future.
"A lot of things seem promising, but at the same time you can sense some uncertainty among them about how this will be implemented. There is uncertainty, but also potential at the same time," says Sofia.

In any case, the situation is exciting and both Johan Lindblad and Sofia Eustrom experience Inexchange's entry as a titillating challenge.
"CapeVision is a way in for us that we strongly believe in. Now we get a foot in the door and it creates the opportunity to open more doors," they say in unison.
